1889 Foundation is proud to support the Johnstown Tomahawks Kids Club, which is a free club open to all kids aged 14 and under! The club, whose main sponsor is Conemaugh Health System, is led by Tomahawks mascot Chopper, who will encourage all participants to live a healthy lifestyle. Parents and guardians of club members will receive health videos featuring Chopper, worksheets to complete together with their kids, and health tips on topics like proper nutrition, sleeping, exercise, hand hygiene, drug abuse, concussions, celebrating diversity and more.
Activities will be hosted at home games, including the opportunity to spin a prize wheel.
At the upcoming Hat Trick or Treat night on Oct. 27, the theme is dental hygiene, and Kids Club members will receive a free toothbrush featuring the logos of 1889 Foundation and Conemaugh Health System.
