Recently 1889 Foundation contributed $35,000 to the Laurel Highlands Alzheimer’s Association (LHAA), an organization that provides support, respite care, and other resources to families in our region dealing with Alzheimer’s disease. The money will be used to support home respite care for Alzheimer’s patients, providing quality care while their family members take a much-needed break.
