Help prevent medication abuse and misuse! If you have unused or expired medications in your home, we encourage you to dispose of them at Conemaugh Health System’s Take Back Day, which is set for Mon., Apr. 23 from 10:00 am-2:00 pm in Conemaugh Medical Center’s Atrium at 1086 Franklin Street.
Law enforcement officials will collect the medications and dispose of them in a safe, effective, and environmentally-friendly way. Representatives from the Cambria County Drug Coalition, Prevention Coalition, Hearts Against Heroin Campaign, Warm Hand-Off, Support Groups, and Medication Safety will be on hand too.
Products accepted include:
- Prescription medications
- Over-the-counter medications
- Tablets or capsules
- Liquid medications
- Inhalers
- Creams
- Ointments
- Nasal sprays
- Pet medicines
These products are NOT accepted:
- Intravenous solutions
- Injectables
- Needles
