In alignment with two funding priority goals – Early Childhood and Physical Health & Wellness – 1889 Foundation will again provide funding for teens and children aged 17 and under for a series of running events this year.
Path of the Flood Historic Races
- Saturday, May 25
- 14-miler, 8-miler, and 5K
- Presented and benefits – Cambria County Conservation & Recreation Authority and Johnstown Area Heritage Association
- Course follows The Path of the Flood Trail, travels through the Staple Bend Tunnel (first railroad tunnel in the United Staes), and finishes at PNG Park where there is a view of the historic Stone Bridge, which is still standing after stopping the majority of the flood’s waters.

Ghost Town Trail Challenge
