1889 Foundation is proud to once again sponsor Farm Safety Day, as we have for over 25 years! This year’s event will be held on Sat., May 6 from 9:30-2:30 pmĀ at the Berlin Community Grove (1394 Beulah Road, Berlin). Youth and adults will have the opportunity to learn safety steps that can prevent injuries in a farm environment, as well as emergency first aid, especially important in rural areas where first responders may be further away.
Sessions planned include:
- Skid loader safety
- PTO safety
- Emergency first aid
- Lawnmower safety
- Chemical and poison safety
- Rural road safety
- Mock disaster drill
Each family will receive a first aid kit provided by 1889 Foundation.
Registration is $3 per child, or $5 per family. Lunch is included! For more information, contact Andrea Stoltzfus at 814-243-0593.
