The 1889 Foundation and the Pennsylvania Rural Arts Alliance (PRAA) are once again partnering on the Creative Health Impact Grants (CHIG) program, which is designed to foster connections between the arts and wellness in Cambria and Somerset Counties. Established in 2016, CHIG provides up to $25,000 in 1889 Foundation funding annually for health and wellness-related arts activities that could include but are not limited to exhibitions, performances, festivals, arts classes, and other programs.
Local non-profit organizations that have health and wellness initiatives may apply for up to $5,000 in funding for eligible programs. Funded events must take place between July 1, 2017 and June 30, 2018. The deadline for grant submission is April 28, 2017.
Complete details on CHIG, including grant guidelines, eligibility requirements, and a full grant application, may be found on PRAA’s website.
